There is SO much content advice out there that we’ve somehow managed to make posting ridiculously complicated🥲

One person tells you to work on your hooks. The next says you need trending audio. Then it’s visual hooks, open loops, jump cuts, signature series, different camera angles, personal branding, posting every day...

And the annoying thing is, most of that advice isn’t necessarily wrong.

Hooks matter. How you film matters. Retention tactics matter.

All those tiny details can make your content better.

But none of them fix bad content.

Before worrying about any of that, go back to the basics.

Speak to one person about one problem. Forget trying to appeal to everyone. When you know exactly who you’re talking to, finding relevant topics and knowing what to say becomes much easier!!!!

Then ask what they’re actually getting from the post. There’s a big difference between sharing information they could find anywhere and giving them something useful they can think about, do or apply.

Then post it, look at the data and learn from it.

What made people drop off watching? What did they save? What got shared? What made someone follow?

Find the patterns, test again and do more of what works.

The fancy stuff can come later.
